Re: WTB....20 guage semi-auto .....

I bought my wife a Berretta 390 and she loves it. Matter of fact I love it too. This gun will last a lifetime and be passed along. I have 2 in 12 gauge that are all I use duck hunting now. I would stay away from the TriStars altogether. I purchased an o&u from them that had to be replaced 3x ...

Re: need some tips on dog food

Pretty active is a subjective description. Unless you do a lot of training I would stay away from the performance foods and go with an adult food. I have had good experience with Exclusive Performance and ProPlan Performance but my dogs are worked at least 4 days a week. The Adult versions of these ...

Re: The Grand was Cool........."it will change your life"......

The Grand Committee keeps the judges sheets but I am pretty sure your dog was in good shape or he wouldn't have been sitting on the honor bucket off lead.

Re: The Grand was Cool........."it will change your life"......

DIB, I didn't know that was your dog. My heart broke for Jason on both breaks. Sitting in the judge's chair doesn't mean I ain't pulling for the dogs, especially your friends and dogs you know. It is truly an honor to be asked to judge any Grand and I feel especially blessed to have judged 3. I do ...

Re: Obedience Corrections

First of all use a barrier for heel back as GC described. I use a rattle stick for this and it is very effective. Second and most importantly from my opinion. 4 months is a little young for this strict obedience. Let a puppy be a puppy and you will have a much more compliant dog in the future. Lots ...

Re: EIC breeding ?

You asked for an opinion and that is just what this is. Ultimately up to you, but I would not buy a pup from this litter. If your bitch is affected then as you mentioned, all pups will be carriers which certainly is not improving the breed. If she was mine I would have her spade and then I don't ...

Chuck is great. If you are looking for someone close to Tuscaloosa check out Ronnie Lee. Ronnie is just across the AL/MS border south of Starkville.

Re: Need a yellow female pup

I just got a call from Jan Meche. Their litter from her GRHRCH bitch and HRCH dog hit the ground this morning. They are wanting $650 per pup. These are well bred and will be nice pups. Their contact info is on the HRC message board under New Litters. Hope this helps!

Re: Training question -- Decheating

I agree with Evan and Bruce on about everything they discussed. I remember throwing birds as a kid for Danny, John Parrot, Terry Grayson, and Omar and I can tell you for sure that all these guys learned from their mistakes in the 70s as well as their successes. The collars were horrendous then which ...
